The Price Of Avoiding War With Russia
Most Americans are adversely triggered by the thought of a war with Russia, and for good reasons.
Russians are known to be savage fighters on the battlefield with no moral compass, no self-restraint and no sense of humanity. They are willing to march over the dead bodies of their comrades to pursue victory.
I listened to stories from family members who fought in Europe during WW II. These American patriots explained in graphic detail that Russia’s “rules of war” are simple. Win at all cost.
What price is the western world paying by choosing to fight a stealth war with Russia? How much of that sum reflects America’s schizophrenic foreign policy that has drawn us into foreign civil wars and wars of aggression against a “wag the dog” enemy created by oligarchs on both sides of the conflict and the American military-Industrial complex?
Americans have become so jaded by our inability to control the war mongers and war profiteers of our society that we have lost the ability to differentiate between a fabricated war that’s “good for business” and a war that must be won to save western democracy.
Putin has failed the Russian people. He must not be allowed to conquer and assimilate Ukraine and impose his failures on a country that has been trying to become a stable democracy for over 100 years.
Putin has become a classic dictator who, after failing to bring prosperity to his country, externalizes the blame for failures on successful political systems based on self rule.
Putin has become an embarrassed bully, who remains angry about the break up of the USSR, which ruled 1/6th of the Earth’s surface before it collapsed under it’s own weight.
Putin can no longer explain away his tiny Russian economy that totals only 2% of the world’s GDP at a time when the USA’s percentage of world GDP is approaching 25%.
Ukraine is not the canary in the coal mine, it’s more like the American Eagle, with all the symbolism that denotes.
If Ukraine falls to the Russians, Putin will use his feigned fear of NATO as an excuse to march across the weaker States of Europe, killing and conquering as he goes, until WW III becomes inevitable.
Do we risk the unthinkable now, or guarantee it later?
The Price Of Avoiding War With Russia
In addition, Trump probably would want to retaliate against Ukraine because they did not do as he wanted them to do to help him promote the demise of the Bidens, so he could easily win the November election in 2020. To Trump, retaliation could have been more important than anything else.
Trump and his allies claim Putin would not have invaded Ukraine if Trump was still in the White House. What do you say about that claim?
